Project Details

LEED® or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design provides a framework to create healthy, highly efficient and cost-saving green buildings. LEED certification, established by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), is a globally recognized symbol of sustainability achievement. During the certification process the building is assessed within different categories among which sustainable sites, location and transportation, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources, or indoor environmental quality.

The office building in the heart of Frankfurt am Main and close to the Frankfurt fair is the new headquarter of ING-DiBa AG with approx. 2,000 employees. The building owner, Deka Immobilien, realised major renovation and extension measures including a new façade (Closed Cavity Façade) and modern heating and cooling technology in order to provide high user comfort. EnviroSustain was the responsible LEED® auditor and made sure the sustainability requirements were met during the planning and construction process. The achieved result for Leo was the best possible rating: LEED® Platinum.
