A new decade of impact for ES

At ES, we believe that time for talking is over. There has been so much talk in the industry, with clients, partners and from our world leaders about what we should do and not enough action.

As we enter a new decade as a business, our focus is on making and impact through our own actions and with our clients.

As November is our 20th Anniversary, we decided to kick off our new decade of impact and plant 20,000 trees through reforestation projects with Ecologi.

These trees are funding two reforestation projects of coastal mangroves in Mozambique and Madagascar!

Mangroves are a small, coastal tree species that occur worldwide in the tropics and subtropics, and are particularly proficient at absorbing carbon and storing it in their extensive root systems underground. Carbon stored in mangrove forests is considered blue carbon, because it is stored on the coast. In addition to their excellent carbon sequestration abilities, mangroves provide excellent flood and storm protection to the coastal area itself.

This is the first step in our journey with Ecologi. By the end of 2021, we will also become a Climate Positive Workforce by mitigating our staff’s carbon footprint. This includes all of their travel, energy use, food & hobbies that occur inside or outside of the business.

In 2022, we will also begin offsetting carbon or planting trees with Ecologi every time we complete work for a client. The projects supported include:

  • Reforestation and rewilding projects
  • Energy efficiency cook stoves
  • Renewable energy projects

You can visit our profile and gift more trees to our forest here.

If you’re looking to sign up to Ecologi, you can use our referral link and we will each be gifted 30 trees.
