GBCI Europe Circle 2026: Meet Us in Milan

From 6–8 May 2026, the sustainability community will gather in Milan for one of the most important events in the European built environment calendar – GBCI Europe Circle. And once again, EnviroSustain (ES) is proud to be part of it.

Having supported the event since its very first edition in Munich in 2022, we’re delighted to return as sponsors in 2026 and continue contributing to the conversations shaping a more sustainable and resilient future.

GBCI Europe Circle has quickly established itself as a key meeting point for leaders across real estate, finance, sustainability, and policy. The event brings together industry experts, innovators, and decision-makers to explore the evolving role of the built environment in tackling climate challenges.

With a focus on collaboration and practical solutions, Circle offers a unique platform to exchange ideas, share best practices, and drive meaningful progress across Europe and beyond.

This Year’s Theme: Forging Resilience

The 2026 theme, “Forging Resilience,” places the built environment firmly within the resilience era.

As climate risks intensify and market expectations evolve, resilience is no longer optional—it’s essential. This year’s discussions will explore how the industry can respond through:

  • Better understanding and management of climate risk
  • Stronger links between sustainability and insurance
  • The growing influence of sustainable finance
  • The role of standards and certifications in driving consistency
  • Data-driven decision-making to support long-term performance

Together, these elements are reshaping how buildings, portfolios, and companies operate in a rapidly changing world.

Meet the Team

We have eight members of the ES team making the journey to Milan, and we can’t wait to see you there.

Our team will be on hand throughout the event to connect, share insights, and explore how we can support your sustainability goals. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to take your strategy further, we’re always happy to talk.

We’re here to chat about:

  • LEED® and other building certifications
  • ESG reporting and strategy
  • Circular economy approaches, including Life Cycle Analysis
  • Sustainable materials
  • Climate Risk
  • And everything related to ESG and the sustainable built environment

If you’re attending, be sure to come and say hello.

What to Expect

Day 1 – Wednesday, 6 May

The Circle begins with optional technical workshops hosted across LEED-certified locations in Milan, offering a deep dive into key topics such as LEED v5, EU Taxonomy alignment, and portfolio performance tools.

In the evening, the community comes together for a networking reception, setting the tone for the collaborative and informal spirit of the event.

Day 2 – Thursday, 7 May

Thursday is the main conference day, bringing together industry leaders for a full programme of plenary sessions, panels, and discussions.

Expect insights spanning climate risk, sustainable finance, decarbonisation, innovation, and the growing role of data and AI in shaping the built environment—firmly aligned with this year’s theme of Forging Resilience.

Day 3 – Friday, 8 May

The final day takes learning into the city with a choice of LEED-focused technical tours across Milan.

From major urban regeneration projects and new university developments to biophilic workplaces and sustainable luxury retail, these guided tours offer a behind-the-scenes look at how resilience and sustainability are being delivered in practice across one of Europe’s most dynamic cities.
