Last week, the EnviroSustain team came together in Prague for our early summer team event, which coincided with the 2025 GBCI Europe Circle – a highlight in Europe’s green building calendar.
This year’s theme, From Innovation to Impact, set the tone for two days of knowledge sharing, collaboration, and future-focused dialogue on how to accelerate decarbonisation in the built environment. EnviroSustain was proud to be a Gold Sponsor of the event, with several team members attending sessions, participating in workshops, and taking an active role in the program.
We co-hosted an exclusive roundtable with GRESB on the first day, bringing together a small group of real estate professionals to explore trends in ESG, upcoming GRESB standards, and practical strategies for moving from compliance to performance. On the second day, our Partner Ingemar Hunold joined a panel discussion to address the evolving relationship between LEED v5 and the EU Taxonomy—an increasingly relevant topic as regulations advance across Europe.

But the week was about more than the conference. While some of our team took part in the event, others came to Prague for a dedicated team-building retreat, and the experience combined learning, bonding, and sustainability in equal measure.
We stayed at the Mosaic House, a boutique hotel that our team proudly certified for BREEAM In-Use back in 2012. It was a fitting home base for a company committed to sustainable buildings and green travel.
Highlights of our time together included:
- A walking tour through Prague’s historic, ending in the castle district
- A bike tour of the city’s key landmarks and green spaces
- A visit to the Kampa Museum for a dose of culture
- A scenic cruise along the Vltava River
- Evening dinners together to unwind and connect as a team

Sustainability wasn’t just a theme of the event, it was embedded in how we travelled, too. One of our colleagues, Daniel, cycled over 400 km from Berlin to Prague, following the Berlin–Dresden route and then the Elbe Cycle Route into the city. While most of us travelled by train, three more team members travelled together in our company electric car, minimising our carbon footprint. And once in Prague, our activities were designed to be as low-impact as possible, emphasising walking, biking, and public transport.
We left Prague inspired, connected, and ready to continue our work driving sustainable change in the built environment.
And we’re already looking ahead: GBCI Europe Circle 2026 will take place in Milan – we hope to see you there!
