We are pleased to publish our ESG Report for 2022 and 2023. We feel very fortunate at EnviroSustain (ES) to have been so busy with great clients, a new office opened in Kassel and a growing team, that combining our reports for the past two years made sense.
Our focus at ES is not only on reducing the negative impact on the environment of our business activities and those of our clients but more importantly, encouraging a positive impact. We do this through improving the wellbeing and happiness of our staff, increasing support to environmental and social charities and initiatives, joining local climate networks and activities, forming new impactful partnerships, and educating and encouraging our clients on their own ESG journey.

Top achievement: Rewilding Europe partnership
One of our goals in 2021 was to have a greater positive impact on our environment as a company. We wanted to make a valuable contribution to social and environmental initiatives and find a long-term partner that aligns with our values. In 2022, we supported two Rewilding projects “European Young Rewilders” and “Return of the Wild Horses” as part of our ‘impact of the month’ initiative.
This laid the foundation for our long-term partnership with Rewilding Europe, which we entered into at the beginning of 2023. Rewilding Europe is an independent, non-profit foundation that promotes the rewilding of landscapes across Europe.
As part of our partnership, over the next ten years, a portion of our turnover will be channelled into the European Wildlife Comeback Fund to support rewilding initiatives. At the same time, we have been actively working with our Rewilding partner team since summer 2023 to transform their Oder Delta site into a multifunctional visitor centre and we also helped with their clean-up of the Ina river.
There is so much more planned for 2024 and we’re looking forward to developing the partnership further.
Focus and goals for 2024 and beyond
In 2022, we set the goal to develop our own ESG strategy further to show areas of progress and impact over time.
To identify topics that form our strategy, we conducted a materiality analysis internally with staff and externally with clients and providers. As a result of the survey responses and consultation with the team, our strategy from 2024 will look at the full scope of our impact, not just our environmental footprint, with a particular focus on what emerged as the most important factors.
The goals we have set for 2024 align with these topics and focus on our internal governance, improving working practices for increased employee health and wellbeing, and reducing our overall environmental footprint by engaging with projects and partnerships that have a positive environmental impact. You can find out more about our specific goals in the table below.
